The Plot:When senior Ocean member Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) gets double crossed by the scheming Willie Bank (Al Panico), the Ocean team decide it is time to get even, but this time, with the help of an old enemy. Together, they decide that the goal here is not to take Bank's money, but make him loose it and his Five Diamond awards. Through a series of scams, they rig every game in the casino, making everything pay out to any player there. Underground, they create an earthquake, causing everyone in the casino to evacuate, removing Bank's chance of winning it back. Through out the movie, the Five Diamond reviewers time at the casino is sabotaged through various means (chicken pox-like infection on his towels, laxatives in his food, terrible smelling insences being burned in his room, and overall bad service) and he reviews it very poorly, taking Bank's chance at winning another Five Diamond with him. Good news for Ocean’s Thirteen as positive reviews are rolling on in!
Variety reports, “As smooth as a good mojito, as stylish as an Armani suit and as meaningful in the grand scheme of things as yesterday’s Las Vegas betting odds, Ocean’s Thirteen continues the breezy good times of the first two series entries without missing a beat.”
The Hollywood Reporter reports, “Rolling the dice for a third time in “Ocean’s Thirteen,” Steven Soderbergh and his team beat the odds. Final chapters of trilogies invariably suffer from lameness. This, of course, already transpired in the “Ocean’s Twelve,” where subplots misfired and the script resorted to all sorts of slight-of-hand trickery. The new film, which screened Out of Competition at Cannes, returns to Las Vegas and does recapture much of the spirit of the original film.”

'Ocean's 13' Earns $13 Million Ocean's Thirteen rolled out an impressive $13.1 million, according to Friday estimates. The heist comedy should easily pick up the No. 1 slot this weekend. In No. 2 was the Katherine Heigl-Seth Rogen comedy Knocked Up, which brought in $6.2 million during its second week in release.. Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worldfs End sailed close behind with a cool $6 million. The stars of Ocean's Thirteen recently donated over $750,000 to poverty-fighting charity Oxfam. Co-stars Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon also donated to Clooneyfs Not on Our Watch charity, which helps the inhabitants of Western Sudan. Clooney has said, "The people of Darfur urgently need the help of organizations like Oxfam." UPDATE: Ocean's 13 pulled in a healthy $37 million at the box offices this weekend. POTC3 sailed away with $21 million with Knocked Up not far behind with $20 million. I actually went to see the movie last night, before I went out. It was soo funny. I so recommend it!
