My Review:
I saw the movie last night and it was a fast pace, well edited, blockbuster. I had a blast. It was a lot different than I had expected, mostly because of its style. Given the creator I assumed it would be more like Mr. & Mrs. Smith, however, the movie was much more dark and artsy.
Very much in the style of "Fight Club," Angelina Jolie plays the "Tyler Durden" character, someone who opens the main character (and narrator) to a new world, and allows him to be more than just some mundane-lackluster accountant. The narration and editing are very similar in the two films as well.
But this is where the similarities end, instead of an underground fight-club/society, it's a 1000 year old brotherhood (the Fraternity) who take orders from fate, to kill, and by killing one possibly saving thousands.
James McAvoy plays the bumbling, anxiety ridden narrator. Angelina's character, Fox, is very stoic and strong; she doesn't speak too much. There's a great joke about that, when the narrator keeps asking Fox questions and when she doesn't respond to a single one, he just shrugs it off "no, okay." Morgan Freeman plays Crane the man who runs the Fraternity.
There is definitely a lot of blood, a lot of swearing, but what would an assassin movie be without either. Overall I really liked it.

Thanks, I think you could be a good critic.. I value your comments, thank you.... Angelina said in one of the latest interviews, that Fox could be Mrs. Smith after she killed Mr. Smith and went into depression.. And that she is pleased Fox is not the love interest in this movie but an assassin who rarely speaks.. I'm seeing it tonight!!!! ;D.. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you Here is one scan from jjb.yuku

Yep, been there, done it, lol. I went to the latest session of Wanted last night (8.40 pm!).. I have to say, I could have enjoyed the film tremendously if the air conditioning was on. I have to say, it was very well narrated and it was a well performed performance on the whole. Needless to say that the audience liked the twist in the end, and there were a couple of times when we were surprised like ' how could it be in real life? it is a real life situation' but then through the effects you are systemetically reminded that the story is based on a cartoon character's adventures.. Good action, obviously, there was a lot of thinking to the film. Cute way of narrating

Wanted: No. 2 at the Box Office Angelina Jolie's action thriller Wanted had the best opening ever for an R-rated film released in June and the 6th best opening of all the time for any R-rated film, according to Variety. But Wanted didn't open at No. 1. WALL-E, the Pixar Animation tale about a robot, opened with $62.5 million in ticket sales, while Jolie's assassin thriller Wanted raked in $51.1 million, the Associated Press reported Sunday. (See photos of Angelina's most memorable action roles.) According to the AP, WALL-E drew moviegoers of all ages. "The real secret is they're not children's movies. They're movies for everybody. Children absolutely adore them, but parents enjoy them on a different level," Mark Zoradi, president of Disney's motion-picture group told the AP. Nikki Rocco, head of distribution for Universal, told the AP, "We knew WALL-E would be huge, but it's not the same audience as Wanted." The same New York Times critic who dissed the Sex and the City movie gave Jolie a rave review. "With her mean smiley-sneer and snug clothes, her heels and hieroglyphics, she cuts the kind of disciplinarian figure who can bring antsy boys of all ages to their knees or at least into their theater seats," Manohla Dargis wrote. www.usmagazine.com

'Wanted' posters draw criticism in Britain LONDON, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- England's Advertising Standards Authority says two posters for Angelina Jolie's new action flick "Wanted" should not be seen by children.
The BBC quoted the group as saying the posters "could glamorize violence" by showing a gorgeous actress, along with guns and aspirational text. One poster reads, "Six weeks ago I was just like you ... and then I met her ... and my world was changed forever."
Universal Pictures argued Jolie and her co-star James McAvoy appear in stylized poses reminiscent of the comic books on which the movie is based.
The studio also said it wasn't previously told of any concerns regarding the posters and noted they are no longer in circulation.
The movie came out in England in June.

Jolie signs action films to make her kids proud of herWashington, Sept 18 : Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that she signs action movies only to make her kids feel proud of her. The 'Tomb Raider' star said that she dedicates her big-budget thriller films to her family. "I want to make them proud," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying. The 33-year-old star also insists on doing all her own stunts in the films - so her kids learn they can do anything. "If there's a chance I will get killed, I will double-check my harness! I'm responsible these days because of my children," she said. "But, at the same time, I know that they'll see one of my stunts when they're older, so it gives me all the more reason to do cool things now," she added. --- ANI www.newkerala.com/topstory-fullnews-23900.html
